Macross Ep 23...
This EPISODE was a letdown...last couple of episodes a letdown, I guess they're shoe horning the character development the past few episodes.

RIP Chrome apps: Google is killing them off for Windows and Mac
Link to Original Story
Are you an avid user of Google’s Chrome apps for Mac or Windows? No? Apparently not that many people are, which is why Google will be killing them off for both Mac and Windows in the next few years.
Chrome
apps are basically apps that run within Google’s Chrome web browser,
and some look and act like stand-alone apps. There are a number of apps
available, including the likes of Hangouts, Google Keep, an so on.
Chrome needs to be running and open in order for these apps to work,
even if they seem like standard apps.
Google’s
decision comes as part of an effort to make Chrome a little simpler.
For example, Google removed the app launcher, which allowed users to
access Chrome apps, from Chrome in the past few months. Before that, in
December 2015, Google removed the notification center from Chrome. Of
course, this decision doesn’t mean that Google will get rid of apps on
Chrome OS — those will stick around, at least for now.
The
apps won’t disappear immediately. Google has a plan to get rid of the
apps over the next two years. Here’s the timeline for Google Chrome
apps:
- End of 2016: Apps that are newly published won’t be available to Chrome users on Windows, Mac, or Linux. Those apps will only appear for Chrome OS users.
- Late 2017: Chrome Web Store won’t show Chrome apps for Windows, Mac, or Linux.
- Early 2018: Chrome apps will stop working on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Google will also give the Chrome Web Store a makeover to emphasis themes and extensions instead of Chrome apps.
There
are a few reasons the move makes sense. Not only did few people use
Chrome apps, but web apps themselves have been getting more popular,
too, essentially eliminating the need for apps that run within the
Chrome web browser. That’s partly why the process is taking so long —
according to a report from VentureBeat, Google wants to ensure that much
of the functionality found in Chrome apps is available through web apps
first.
Google retiring Chrome apps for Windows, Mac and Linux

Guess I'll have to download and install a Virtual Machine and load Google Chrome OS??? WTF!!!
How many of you actually use Chrome apps on your computers? Unless it’s running Chrome OS, chances are you don’t. This is why Google is deciding to retire Chrome apps from Windows, Mac and Linux.
The Search Giant claims only 1% of Chrome users utilizing these three operating systems actually take advantage of Chrome apps. This is because this is software created with Chrome OS in mind.
Chromebooks are fast, simple, easy to manage and very convenient, but the lack of applications really made it hard for the platform to grow; then packaged and hosted apps came into the scene. They were a way for Chromebooks to become more useful, and developers were able to have their apps used in multiple platforms.
Their lackluster success in other platforms makes them not worth having around, though. The team believes it’s more valuable to simplify Chrome and lighten the browser. Chrome OS will keep these apps around, even though support for Android apps may take over.
As you can see, it will be a slow process, but the result will ultimately be the same. But do you care? Have any of you been using Chrome apps on Windows, Mac or Linux? I feel like these computers have so much software around that Chrome apps are unnecessary.

Amanda Palmer
I always heard her name, especially in tech circles, I listen to a lot of tech podcast such as TwiT, MacBreak Weekly, etc. Saw her on TED talk, respected her view on art and how she came up, but I never heard her music. Just the other day I had a wild hair up my butt and YouTubed her, and this song the Killing Type was so out there and I thought it was so simple, cool, and so friggin artistic, even the video, albeit low budget, it's fantastic!!!

RIP Karen Carpenter, we still miss ya
Just today, I thought about Karen Carpenter, this was a song Richard Carpenter wrote for her and Karen was excited to record it, unfortunately...
The first time I heard this song in High School, I'm like wow did the Carpenters come out with a previously unreleased song, wasn't a big hit so the every once in a while I heard it I tried to wait for all the songs in the radio to be played so maybe the DJ will mention the song and the artist. Thank goodness for the internet!!!
You'll forever live in your music...

Macross Delta

Here's a clip.
Harmony Gold To Adapt ‘Macross Delta’ as Robotech Spin-Off
For those of you that are Robotech fans (Macross is the original name, Japanese people won't know what you're talking about, had a debate the other day about it...!!!)
Here the LINK to the original article.
Just hours after a special New Year’s Eve airing of the first episode of the upcoming anime Macross Delta, Harmony Gold tweeted that they had acquired the western broadcasting rights to the anime and would re-purpose it as part of their sprawling Robotech franchise under the title Robotech Delta: Songstress Squad. The announcement was met with confusion from both anime industry insiders and fans alike, as both camps had simply assumed that Harmony Gold had gone out of business years ago.
“Wow, those guys are still going?” wrote one anime fan on a popular Macross website. “And here I thought it was just the sheer spite of the universe keeping the rest of Macross from getting an American release at this point. But hey, you learn something new and incredibly depressing, every day.”
According to insider sources, the adaption will run for 26 episodes in the summer of 2016, one season after its spring 2016 Japanese release, and will have its script rewritten to include references to the existing Robotech universe, which consists of similar adaptions of Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Calvary Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. Though firm details are sparse on the level of changes that will be made to Macross Delta, rumors persist that it will be set some time after the 2007 Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles film and will take place in an era where a horrible virus mutated from corrupt Protoculture and spread by the remnants of the ancient Robotech Masters has plunged the galaxy into chaos, with only young men and women raised on the legends of such heroes as the idol Lynn Minmay and ace pilot Rick Hunter able to save humans and Zentraedi alike from destroying themselves.
“Robotech helped bring anime to thousands of fans for the first time in the 1980s, and we hope to repeat that success with a new generation starting with Macross Delta,” a Harmony Gold representative related in a statement to Anime Maru. “And while we understand many purists would rather have Macross Delta broadcast in its unedited Japanese, by connecting it to the existing Robotech universe we’ll be able to please both fans of our original adaption from the 80’s and those who enjoyed Macross in its various forms over the years. Although, as for those who still want to watch Macross Delta in the original Japanese… I can’t speak on the subject at the moment, so let’s just say that our legal department is working on that problem as we speak.”
Harmony Gold would go on to announce earlier today that they had also acquired the rights to Macross Zero and Macross Frontier, which they will release as Robotech Zero: The Beginning, a prequel to the Robotech saga, and Robotech: New Frontiers, a sequel to the series’ third story arc, in American markets respectively.
When asked about the news, our staff’s resident Macross expert merely muttered, “Yack Deculture…” under his breath and then stumbled off, presumably in search of a stiff drink.
